Quotient Module - Type 679

The Quotient Module is an analog divider which is used for calculating the ratio of two physiological input signals. Resistance can be calculated as the quotient of pressure to flow. For example to calculate the functional efficiency of a heart Q = dp/dtmin divided by dp/dtmax a Quotient Module is used. In this case the Quotient Module is connected to the Differentiator outputs MAX and MIN inside the PLUGSYS System. From these analogue outputs the Quotient Module calculates the quotient Q = dp/dtmin /dp/dtmax.
