Perimax 12-PUMP Series

The Perimax 12 peristaltic pump is used in all branches of analytical chemistry, especially where it is essential to supply a system with accurately defined liquid quantities, as for example in ICP and AA spectrography.

Operation
The Perimax 12 peristaltic pump is very simple to operate. The tube is placed around the pump head and secured at both ends in a special fitting. The pressure against the tubing is adjusted with a screw on the pressure bracket. Function keys are provided for ON/OFF and RIGHT/ LEFT rotation. The rotational speed of the pump head is adjustable continuously on a 10-turn potentiometer. The digital indication (0-999) ensures a reproducible speed setting and therefore a precise flow rate. A high-speed key provides for brief operation at maximum speed, for example for fast wash-out of the tube when changing to another liquid.

Pump head
The pump head consists of 12 rollers and a simple well-engineered pressure system. It can be extended up to 6 channels so that as many as 6 tubes can be fitted at the same time. Different tube diameters can be selected so that liquids can be pumped at various flow rates. The pump head can readily be removed, rotated through 90° and then fitted back into position to suit the side of the pump where the liquid is supplied or discharged.

Flow control
The drive motor is fitted with a pulsing disk and photocell. In case of a change in the parameters it ensures that the speed of the roller head is maintained accurately at the set value. This arrangement results in extremely precise and reproducible setting of the liquid flow rate.

Tubes
The pump tubes are made from a flexible plastic material with a very precise internal diameter. They are available in 8 different sizes from 0.19 mm to 3.18 mm diameter.
