Stimulator C

STIMULATOR C, Type 224
The Stimulator C is a compact, highly stable square wave pulse stimulator that features precise digital timing control. A large LCD display (2 lines at 40 characters) and minimum of controls make setup and operation easy. All relevant stimulation parameters are shown on the display which provides a rapid view of the current settings. Several stimulation modes are possible (repetitive, single, triggered, tetanic...).

  • Digital controls
  • precise timing accuracy
  • compact
  • Bright display simplifies setup and view of all settings
  • Monophasic, biphasic and alternating modes
  • High current output facilitates field stimulation

Description

The last settings used are always stored in memory and recalled when the unit is turned on. Two stimulation pattern can be predefined and stored in the non volatile memory. These pattern can easily be recalled by selecting it in the menu. The basic rhythm can be displayed either as frequency in Hertz or as period in msec respectively sec. The adjustment of the timing is controlled by a microcontroller to avoid wrong settings. The powerful (20 VA) and fast (rise and fall time < 1µs) constant voltage (up to 50 Volt) output allows stimulation of all types of tissues from direct contact nerve to tissue bath field stimulation. The output is floating, not connected to earth (ungrounded). The output has a very low impedance (< 0.1 Ohm). The maximum output current is +/- 400 mA.

For applications that require an extremely low-capacity isolated stimuli, the HSE-HA UISO (Universal Isolated Stimulation Output benchtop unit) can be driven directly by the Stimulator output. This is mainly necessary when applying a stimulation while simultaneously recording biological potentials
