Video Tracking
Video tracking is a very popular tool for the automated evaluation of behavior in neuroscience research.
Video recording and analysis techniques are used in a wide variety of experimental procedures in small laboratory animals, assessing central nervous system (CNS) functions and related diseases in both basic and pre-clinical research (phenotyping, drug screening, etc.).
Applications include the study of locomotion, exploration, emotion, mood, learning, memory, cognition and social interaction, which are related to the assessment of neurodegenerative diseases (such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, dementia), as well as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, addictions and autism.
