Refrigerated Collection Rack

The Refrigerated Collection Racks are horizontal racks which accommodate up to 12 Rodent Metabolic Cages (not included). Urine and feces samples are collected into separate 15 ml conical tubes under each cage.

The racks come completely assembled with a compressor which controls the temperature of the samples, twelve funnels and twelve 15 ml Polymethylpentene Conical Tubes for each cage (144 tubes total).

The rack framework is made of AISI 304 stainless steel. The nylon casters are extremely durable and allow easy, quiet handling. One pair of casters locks for safety and stability.

The Refrigerated Rack with Automatic Collection automatically collects and refrigerates or freezes urine samples from metabolic cages at pre-set intervals. It is ideal for automatic, unattended sample collection overnight or on weekends and for fraction collection for repeated urine sampling over a short period of time.

The Refrigerated Rack with Automatic Collection has a geared motor with microprocessor-controlled timing mechanism permitting preprogrammed collection intervals from 10 seconds to 30 hours, with a total of 12 collections. A control/power panel allows automatic or manual operation and has a central power switch and separate. ON/OFF switches for the timing mechanism and compressor.
